Entrepreneurship Cell, SKSgi

Divas

We have always encouraged the entrepreneurial sparks in our students. The active working E-cell of SKSgi is very much concerned about such aspects in our institutions. Our own campus companies are lively examples that show the success we have achieved. And to recognize the company DIVAS, started by our girl students from BCETW makes us proud.

DIVAS was launched by a group of eight students, Seema Mishra, Sneha Saha, Joyshree Mitra, Shruti Priya, Rashmi Rani, Rashmi Thakur, Khushboo Singh and Shikha, from Bengal College of Engineering and Technology for Women on 18th December 2010. This group was guided by teacher in charge, Mrs. Joyeeta Mukherjee, who mentored and helped our students in every possible way. The start of this company was result of aspirations by our girl students to paint their creativity on clothes, and to define new horizons in fashion senses. They designed fashionable dresses and kurtis with fabric colors on them representing Indian tradition and grandeur.

Today DIVAS has attained a remarkable value and position in market. Large varieties of designing clothes and color imprint works are being produced on large scale by them. It is working on various projects; one of them is for Computer Aided Design and Manufacturing of Ethnic Ladies’ Wears.

DIVAS has also turned helpful for our group of Institutions by providing huge sponsorship for organization of NEN E-week. We are expecting for lot more successes and soaring of DIVAS.
